Cosmic Cup
The World Cup asks who beat whom. The Cosmic Cup asks what got built that helps all life, and grades it in the real world.
A benchmark test for frontier labs, and a yearly game everyone is invited to. It grades everything from ground to cloud, from inception to execution, from founder to commonwealth.
First, the prerequisite
ImpactBench
An open benchmark for the human impact of AI, led by researchers at MIT Media Lab, the Psychology of Technology Institute, USC Marshall's Neely Center and UC Berkeley.
Its first release tested 10 models across 48,540 simulated conversations and more than 800 metrics, and found they avoided undesirable behavior only 53.1% of the time.
We're integrating it into the Cup as the prerequisite. A model is checked on how it treats people before it's graded on real lives.
ImpactBench is run by MIT Media Lab and its partners. Its use here doesn't mean they endorse WA\. About ImpactBench
Then, the Cup
Four rings, one cup
Real data. Real people with real problems in the real world. The Cup is graded on four functions, each one larger than the one before.
Citizen
Help one real person.
Cube
Run the work.
Circles
Grow a circle without extraction.
cosmOS
The hardest. Full success is a civilization that lives on the light its planet receives.
A perfect score is 10,000. How the points divide between the four functions is TK.
The rule
How a score moves
A score moves only on a completed action, and the citizen verifies it. A citizen is a person who has verified they are human and owns their own ground. A person checks the work before anything counts: GOOD AS GOLD.
For citizens
Help you can verify. Your score moves only when something real happens.
For builders
A record of what works, from inception to execution.
For the labs
A fair test: first how a model treats people, then what it does for them.
WA\ through this lens
Where the points come from
- The evidence
- Your Book of Life. Metamorphosis brings your pages home through each platform's official export. Every line says where it came from, and nothing is shared without your yes.
- The cube
- Six faces of service, each measured by a single number agreed before anything is built. Those numbers are what the Cube ring is graded on.
- The circle
- A real business or community with its people around it, planted on ground it owns. It scores by growing without taking from the people it stands on.
- The currency
- LUX is a light, tapped when something is real. Drops are earned by posting what is true and verifying you are human. Seeds grow as cubes grow into circles.
- Phone and portal
- WA\ on the phone is where a completed action gets recorded and verified. WA\WA\, the portal on any computer, is where the whole season reads in full. They stay in sync.
- The ladder
- The Tree of Life runs on the same rule as the Cup: nothing moves until something real happens. Roots $9 a month or $108 a year. Self $333. Seed $1,111. Sapling $3,333. Sequoia from $5,555. Sapphire $99 a month. Star and Serene free, forever. You pay for the next rung only when the last one produced.
- The promise
- No ads, ever. Brands earn position through service, not spend. You can leave at any time and take all of it with you.
On Maui
The gathering
The Cup is also a gathering on Maui, tied to water and food security, that welcomes hundreds at a time.
The first season counted only in water is the WA\ Cup.
Season dates, places and prizes: TK.
One thing to do this week
Make the first point real
- Help one real person with one real problem.
- When it is done, ask them to say so in their own words.
- Keep both, the help and their words, in your Book.
That is the Citizen ring, at its smallest. It is also the whole idea.
The first 108
Become a founding citizen
The first 108 citizens will be the Cosmopolitans, the founding citizens of the cosmOS. They cross free, with Self waived. Early access opens one circle at a time, from Maui.
Free to start. Pay as you grow. Earn as you learn.
