Older than any book about it
The oldest known carving of the flower this figure grows from is a palace threshold from Assyria, cut in the seventh or sixth century BCE and kept in the Louvre. The names are new. “Flower of Life” comes from a book published in 1999, and the thirteen-circle figure with its lines is called Metatron's Cube on the same shelf, where the books say all five of Plato's solids can be traced in it. The cube you can see for yourself.
