Seed of Life
Seven circles: one at the center, six around it. In WA\ the seed is a person, and everything grows from there.

The lens
One setting of the compass
Set a compass to any width and draw a circle. The same width steps around that circle exactly six times, because the side of a hexagon drawn inside a circle equals its radius. Euclid proved it in the fourth book of the Elements.
Put the point anywhere on the first circle and draw a second. Center each new circle where two others cross. After six, the ring closes by itself: seven circles, one at the center and six around it.
Seven circles drawn this way are on Roman mosaics of the first century BCE, Herod's palace among them. Keep going and six more make the thirteen circles of the Flower of Life.
